Frequently Asked Questions
FAQs
Is Daily Gut suitable for me?
We believe that everybody deserves good gut health. That's why Daily Gut is vegan, gluten free, fodmap friendly and allergen free.
If you’re pregnant, breastfeeding or thinking of sharing with your kids, check in with your doctor first.
When should I take it?
AM or PM - but at JERMS HQ, we like to sneak it into our morning smoothie.
Just remember, like many things in life, consistency is key. Daily Gut is designed to be taken…daily (no surprises there!) for long-term digestive and overall health benefits.
How should I take it?
Mix 1 teaspoon (around 6g) with any cold drink or sprinkle over cold food (yoghurt, granola, overnight oats...you get the picture).
If you aren't used to taking Probiotics or have severe bloating or runny stools, try introducing Daily Gut gradually into your diet to give your gut time to adjust. We recommend half a teaspoon every day for 7-10 days before increasing to a full teaspoon.
Why can’t I add it to hot drinks or food?
Probiotics don't love the heat - high temps can damage all that live bacteria.
How should I store it?
We wanted Daily Gut to be as convenient for you as possible, so we made it shelf-stable - no need to store it in the fridge. Just pop it in the cupboard, and you're good to go.
Travelling? No problemo, chuck it in your suitcase, so your gut stays happy on holiday.
When will I see a difference?
Despite what some other companies may lead you to believe, there’s no one-size-fits-all solution for gut health because each person's gut microbiome is unique.
To keep it 100 with you, a lot will depend on what your health and lifestyle starting point looks like prior to taking Daily Gut. Some customers notice improvements within a few days and for others it’ll take a little longer.
Experts generally recommend taking products with live bacteria for at least 3 months to allow the bacteria time to colonize the gut and start making a difference.
Month 1: Set the Foundation
Experience relief from bloating & gas, improved digestion & more regular bowel movements.
It sounds counterintuitive, but if for instance your diet has been lacking in fibre then you may experience bloating or more regular bowel movements in the first few days. This is normal as changes in the gut microbiota can result in bacteria producing more gas than usual and should clear up within a few days.
Month 2: Nurture the Change
By now, the beneficial bacteria in your gut will be growing, and you may start to experience better sleep quality, more energy and improvements in your skin health and immune function.
Month 3: Keep it Consistent
With continued use, you should notice improvements in your mood and significant improvements in your digestive health such as a reduction in inflammation and improved metabolism.
You should be feeling like you again, on form!
Do I still need to be taking a Probiotic, Prebiotic fibre or Digestive Enzyme supplement?
Daily Gut is designed to offer comprehensive digestive support in one product.
We believe in taking a holistic approach to gut health, because it’s about more than just popping a probiotic.
Daily Gut’s synergistic formula of Probiotics, Prebiotics, Digestive Enzymes, Organic Superfoods and Vitamins work in harmony together to deliver complete gut support.
I’m on the Low Fodmap diet - can I still take it?
Yes, Daily Gut is fodmap-friendly.
Why does Daily Gut contain both Probiotics and Prebiotics?
Daily Gut is synbiotic, which means it contains pro and prebiotics.
The two work in harmony together. Essentially, prebiotics are the food for the probiotics (the live, beneficial bacteria).
It’s helpful to use the analogy of a garden (stick with us…): the prebiotics act as a fertiliser for your gut, ensuring there’s a healthy environment for the bacteria (probiotics).
In essence, the prebiotics help the probiotics to survive and thrive, so taking the two together is extra effective.
What are the ingredients and are they ethically sourced?

Wherever possible, we’ve chosen to use organic ingredients - they’re proven to be more nutrient-rich and better absorbed by the body. Plus, organic farming practices are more sustainable and increase the richness of the soil microbiome.
We opted for a powder to deliver the ingredients to you in their purest form: no capsule means no anti-caking agents or synthetic capsule shell.
JERMS is committed to an ethical supply chain. We chose suppliers favouring farms and partners with high social and environmental standards who support their growers, give back to their local communities (5% of profit goes towards providing meals to children in need), use animal-friendly farming methods and work in harmony with nature.
Is your packaging recyclable?
Yup, it certainly is!
We also work with an eco-friendly fulfilment partner who use planet friendly packaging materials.
